The kwik bench is just as kwik as it’s name says. Unzip the bag, lift it out, unfold the 6 connected seats and in seconds your team have their very own subs bench. I think the 6 seat option is enough for most teams and if younger kids are sitting on the portable bench a lot more than 6 players can fit on.
What makes this bench so impressive is the thick canvas (blue, black or red ) that creates one long soccer bench. This isn’t a bunch of chairs slotted together, the whole structure folds in and out as one and the numerous legs give the bench a stable structure that supports all of your players.
Soccer Coaches often talk about how comfortable this Kwik goal bench is and I’ve seen friends find a use for it on camping trips. The dimensions for the portable 6 seat kwik goal bench are 108″ long, 16″ high back rests and each of the 6 seats are 8″ wide even though they blend into one long row. Having one long structure is much better than individual seats which end up spread all over the pitch. One of the main differences between this soccer bench and the Kwik goal bench is the mesh netting on the bottom and back of each seat. Having mesh seats helps let air flow through and keeps you cool. This might seem like a luxury feature but when you are hot and sweaty you’ll feel the fresh cool air coming through onto your back and it feels awesome.
The high supports that form the main bench structure are raised up slightly between each seated section and for adults with a bigger bottom or wider legs it is less comfortable than for kids who can sit on the main seat section between the supports. Each back rest is reinforced with some plastic that helps maintain the structures integrity without the backrest fabric tearing from the main supports.
The weight capacity is 200lb per seat and the dimensions of the portable soccer bench is 100 inches long, 18 inches deep and 18 inches high. This extra size make this bench more suitable for both children and adults. Again the soccer bench is portable and folds into it’s own bag quickly and with ease.
Yaheetech added pockets at each end of the bench and this is a nice touch, especially for placing any team sheet, drinks bottles, snacks or personal belongings that need storing away while players are on the soccer pitch trying to score a goal. The main seat and back rest fabric is double layered and feel strong. When folded this portable soccer bench takes up only 19″ x 32″ x 5.5″. When folded up the frame is lightweight and fits comfortably into the bag.
Choose this option if you prefer the bigger size seats that are better for your high school, college or adult soccer teams than smaller soccer benches.

Portability
When I used to play Sunday league soccer we often carried our own portable soccer bench with us in a carrying bag. I might not have made it to the Manchester United team sat in the dugout with a luxury heated seat but we really appreciated having a bench to sit on at half time. For those that spent 90 minutes on the bench waiting to be substituted a comfortable bench is a lifesaver. The alternative is to sit on the grass, which leads to sitting in awkward positions that make your core and muscles work that little bit harder than they need to when it’s your time to have a rest.
Be sure to choose a quality portable bench that is lightweight and has a strong frame and backrest. After battling on the pitch for 90 minutes the last thing you want is having to lift and transport a heavy soccer bench from the soccer field to the car, even if you are a team of strong adults.
Having folding seats is one of the key features of a portable soccer bench, so be sure that the seats fold away into a compact position to make them easy to carry and store away.
Most quality portable benches fold down to a size not much larger than the seat itself. The method used for folding changes between different products but folding is usually very easy and not difficult.
Number of seats
This might seem like an obvious factor to consider but I’ve seen soccer teams with 4 seat benches when they have 6 players sat at the side of the field. Team sports involve everyone coming together and no team member should be left out having to sit on the grass. Choose a portable soccer bench set that has seats with a high back that will support your back. Sitting on the bench with a backrest is so much more comfortable than trying to balance yourself without one.
Storage
Storage isn’t always the most important factor when choosing a soccer bench but it’s definitely worth being sure that you know how big the bench you are buying is. Some benches fold up and can be stored away in a bag that you can carry whereas others are much bigger and require a lot more effort to transport.
A 6 person folding bench is the perfect size for most soccer teams and will fold down to a size not much bigger than the largest solid section of an individual seat. A few of my friends who coach soccer teams recently bought a soccer machine that shoots a soccer ball and they take up lots of space so it’s always nice to find other ways to save space.
Materials
You can buy a selection of portable soccer benches in all different materials but most importantly be sure that the legs are made of a solid material. Usually steel is the strongest material for the chairs legs, but it is also important to check that the design is stable and the legs are positioned in a way that spreads out the weight of all your players over a wider surface area for increased balance.
You should also make sure the stitching on the seat is strong and wont easily give way. Nylon is one of the most common materials used for the seats on soccer benches.
Cost
Most portable soccer benches are available for between $50 and $100 dollars. It is common to find these benches on offer and closer to the lower end of this price range. I think that for a soccer bench that is going to last a long time and can be used by up to 6 or more players, they offer good value for money, especially if the team share the cost.
