Now there are many more brands creating high quality affordable gymnastics equipment that is safe, performs well and looks just as good as the more expensive options.
I am going to help you find some cheap gymnastics equipment by showing you the cheapest good quality options for each different type of gymnastic apparatus. It is possible to buy gymnastics kip bars for a really low price and beams and mats if you can find the right deal. These products aren’t cheap because they use inferior quality materials, they manage to maintain a good level of quality, pass safety tests and create a good looking gymnastics product for a low price.

Let’s take a look at some of the best cheap gymnastics mats for sale. My favourite Cheap gymnastics mats include tumbling mats, cheese mats and folding gymnastics mats. Gymnastics mats are often priced around 100 but I’m going to show you some options that are usually for sale at a much lower price, although prices do sometimes change.
You can buy an affordable gymnastics mat at a low price and now lose out on quality, sometimes you might have to choose a smaller option or less stylish design but the quality in these options is very high and they are very safe for practising gymnastics tumbling and floor skills.

This BalanceFrom gymnastics mat is one of the lowest priced options you can buy and is a very popular choice for gymnasts. You can pay more for a thicker mat, or choose a top gymnastics brand but I’d still recommend this Balance From mat. At 6 foot long 2 ft wide and a good 2″ thick this is a great size mat.
The vinyl surface can be wiped clean easily and there are two carrying handles so you can carry it around easily. There are 4 colour choices and each of these budget mats folds into three sections so it only takes up 24″ x 24″ x 6″ when folded. If you want to save a few extra $ then BalanceFrom also offer a 1.4″ thick mat.
Foamnasium Gymnastics Wedge

The foamnasium wedge is by far the cheapest gymnastics mat you can buy. Foamnasium create toddlers soft and safe climbing play equipment but this mat is shaped like a gymnastics incline mat and s perfect for recreational gymnastics classes and very young gymnasts just beginning their gymnastics journey.
This wedge is often available to buy at half the price of most other brands, so is a bargain price for what is a fun and soft triangular mat that can be used for climbing up and also practising tumbling skills like the handspring and other flips and somersaults that are much easier to learn on a sloped surface like this one.
Cheap gymnastics Leotards
You might have heard of GK Elite. They design and make the US gymnastics team Olympic leotards that are beautiful and made using high quality fabrics. Thankfully it is now possible to find cheaper gymnastics leotard brands that have created some much lower priced leotards that have similar patterns and designs and are still very good quality.
Baohulu Cheap Gymnastics Leotard
Baohulu gymnastics leotards are usually priced at a really low price for their good quality designs. GK elite are seen as the best gymnastics leotard brand but for a lot less money you can have a Baohulu leotard that come in a range of colourful designs, most which have sequins and colourful patterns that gymnasts love to wear.
Baohulu use both polyester and spandex which allows gymnasts bodies to move around as the fabric stretches with your skin and doesn’t restrict movement. These leotards are so cheap that they make a great gymnastics gift.
Cheap gymnastics beam
Kids Gymnastic beams are available to buy at a low price. If you are a beginner on a very low budget you can even start off with a cheap cartwheel mat which is great for practising the cartwheel and beam skills that can be practised safely on the floor.
Springee Balance Beam

Balance beams for home use are much cheaper than those used in competition. Competition beams are 5 ft long and raised 4ft off the ground so home beams are much smaller.
The smaller size makes these beams cheaper to buy but gymnasts can still practice most of the skills used on a full size beam because the surface is nearly always 4″ wide just like a regular beam. I like the Springee beam because it sits on the floor so you don’t need to assemble it.
You can fold the centre of the beam and it will only take up 3ft of space. The base of the Springee beam is covered in raised dots that grip onto your floor to stop the main beam from slipping and sliding.
The surface is firm and your feet and hands won’t sink into the surface when practising gymnastics so you can be sure it will support you without being uncomfortable. With a 160lb weight limit this beam is suitable for all young gymnasts.
Z Athletic cartwheel beam mat

This Z athletic cheap gymnastics cartwheel mat is popular with gymnasts learning to do a cartwheel. There are hand and foot prints printed on the surface in the correct position your hands and feet should be in when doing a cartwheel, making the learning process easier, even in the comfort of your own home.
A raised beam can also be intimidating so having a floor mat where you can begin to practice beam skills without worrying about falling, can help build up your gymnasts confidence, all for a low price.
Cheap gymnastics air track
Air tracks are inflatable mats that are a lot of fun for practising tumbling skills on. These tracks come in so many different sizes with the largest being big enough to practice floor routines by combing multiple floor skills together.
The largest size air track can cost thousands but the cheapest can be found for one tenth of the price of the more expensive options. Let’s take a look at some of my favourite cheap gymnastics air tracks.
